Courage With Your Knees Shaking

Joshua is not being asked to feel brave. He is being commanded to move. There is a difference, and most men confuse them. You wait until the fear recedes, then you call that wisdom. Scripture calls it delay. God does not say the fear will vanish. He says He will be with you wherever you go, which assumes you will actually go.

The assignment in front of you might be a conversation, a resignation, a confession, a first step toward a calling you keep treating like a hobby. Courage is not a personality type. It is obedience that refuses to negotiate with the lump in your throat.

You will not feel ready. Ready is a story you tell yourself so you can stay put. Yahweh is already in the place you are afraid to enter. The question is whether you will meet Him there or keep rehearsing the speech in the hallway.
