Godly Truths
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalm 46:10
Today’s Truth
Be Still on Purpose
Psalm 46:10 · World English Bible
Stillness feels like falling behind. Your whole training says keep moving, keep producing, keep a little noise on so you do not have to hear yourself. The psalm does not suggest a spa day. It is a command in the middle of a world coming apart: be still, and know that I am God.
Knowing, here, is not information. It is remembering who is actually running the nations while you refresh a thread. You do not become God by grinding. You remember God by stopping long enough for the truth to catch you.
Five unhurried minutes will feel inefficient. Do them anyway. The man who cannot be still will eventually be owned by whatever is loudest.
Today’s Challenge
Sit in silence for five minutes today with your phone in another room. Speak only this verse, then wait.
Pray
You are God. I am not. Teach me to be still long enough to know it, not just say it. Exalt Yourself in the middle of my noise. Amen.
