Today’s Truth

It Is Not Good for the Man to Be Alone

Genesis 2:18 · World English Bible

Before the fall, before shame, God looked at a competent man in a good garden and said it was not good for him to be alone. That should rearrange how you think about independence. Isolation was a problem even when everything else was working.

If you are dating, this verse is not a license to rush a woman into filling a hole God named. It is a call to become the kind of man who can share a life, honest, present, not half-hidden behind a persona. If you are not dating, it is still a warning against the closed-loop life: work, screens, self.

You were not designed to be a sealed system. Practice presence with the people already in reach. The helper comparable to you is not a prize you win by being impressive. She is a person you become fit to walk with.

Today’s Challenge

Have one unhurried, phone-down conversation today with a person you are tempted to keep at a convenient distance.

Pray

Yahweh, You said it is not good for me to be alone. Heal what isolation has done. Make me present, honest, and fit for real companionship. Amen.
